Hey people, sorry ah I changed the password without telling you all. Cos I wanted to add photos and blog, but I forgot the password! So I got no choice but to change the password. If you all want the password can ask me, cos I think it's rather weird to write the password here. so yupps, ask me if u want to blog or change the template. and anyway I added a slideshow of our class photos. Actually got another nicer one but cos the space is too small, I cant seem to fit the other one into the space provided. Hope you guys like it! :D

blehh the taggie is not working, so have to post. anyway, i added links, but i know there a few more who have blogs but i don't know of, so if you know, pls add it into the template, or if not sure how to do it, approach anyone who knows i.e.the bloggers.

photos are coming up, but not anytime too soon since we don't seem to have an OFFICIAL class photo album, so it's hard collecting all the class photos >.< can xuerong or jas make a finalised one and find a way to tell the whole class?

and the skin should be changed soon, coz i have been told using our class photo as the main image will be more meaningful.and i agree(:

so yepp, look forward to more changes around here! meanwhile, happy trip to china, everyone ^0^

hello 406(:
this is a response to our lovely class flower.hahah!

ok firstly, i really didnt realise we have so much to rmb from the bbq!but i agree there was alot of class spirit.and my mum wants everyone to know that she thinks i have very sensible and guai classmates, becoz everyone helped to carry stuff back to my hse(:

secondly...hmm yea, i dont have a second point actually.but impt thing is, now that we officially have a 406 Day, it'll be easier for everyone to rmb the days we spent together. i can just pic the movie scene...

It's April 6th in XXXXyr...

all over the world..the sixers sit by their windows and gaze at the moon (or sun, in some cases)..thinkin of the times they spent mugging together...that first and last bbq they had as a class..remembering their tchr they call BK...

AND THEN!

suddenly, kelly the monitress, in her lovely apartment with kids running around her, decided to call up everyone!(:

an hour later...

29 ppl (plus a few kids who'd refused to let their mummies leave) were gathered outside the main gates of Nanyang Girls High School, gazing at their old campus..

One of them will be desperately jabbering into her handphone, "AIYA YINGYI!!just come lar ^0^ everyone is here and we really want you to come!!we're 406 RIGHT!! *big cheesy smile*"

that, of course, will either be sinyee or kelly.

and then 406 will talk happily ever after.

the end.

it's not realistic lar,i know!but it's fun thinkin abt such things (: and anyway, in case some of you dont know, it was hard gettin yingyi to come to bbq party.haha! i was really glad she came, and i hope she'll find this class like a home and enjoy the rest of the times we have together!

406 spirit forever k!

Hello everybody!

Who but me to post an entry! I have never ever blogged before! But anyway, here’s on the class BBQ, for the memories and keepsake. :D

Date: 11-09-06
Time: For most people, 5pm-10.30pm
Venue: Jenny’s condo at Bukit Batok
Point to remember: 100% attendance!!! ( Think about it, we don’t even have full attendance in school that week before the exams. :P)

Activity 1: Fire-starting

Time spent on fire-starting, or “fire-fanning” (if there was any fire at all) was almost the whole of 4pm-10pm. But point to note was all the help given and the class spirit, from those fanning their hands off but in vain, to those fanning those who were fanning J, to those providing drinks to those at the fire, and those who were desperately getting those at the fire to get food for themselves. :D Aren’t you touched.
This activity was no mean feat. Firstly, we were barbequing from the fire from fire starters more than that from charcoals. Secondly, the fire lighter was spoilt (probably by me) and then there was no source of fire AT ALL for a moment, and 钻木取火 no longer work in this era. Secondly, too big a fire burnt our wings…chicken wings I mean.. And thirdly, try fanning at 10km/h, hur hur muscle cramps and lactic acid build-up expected. But still, it was a good experience!
Also, we revised our chem and bio in the process! Like why Ms Lee would prefer not going for barbeque (its bad for the lungs)..you know..carboxyhaemoglobin, and how margarine that is an alkane is flammable and so we were generously dripping margarine into the fire hahaha.

(+) point: All the help in all ways
(-) point: The fire never really got started for more than 15 minutes. But still we managed to got things cooked!

PSI 100!

Activity 2: The eating

Spaghetti was the only thing that we could get our hands on before the fire got started, so thanks to Peggy and co who made it! And most of us enjoyed barbequed marshmallows J (courtesy of me), competing to get the softest and creamiest marshmallows! Other than that, we had a range of half-cooked to almost cooked satays, chicken wings, fishballs and Taiwan sausages. But the one who had her wisdom teeth plucked off, could only lay her teeth (or the lack of them) on Campbell soup. Hur hur. Drinks were not of a problem because there was really a variety and enough ice. It was a good idea writing names on the cups so that we don’t waste it, haha but I think most of us just drank from each other cups.

(+) point: Creamy soft marshmallows!
(-) point: Me after biting off a piece of satay. “I think it’s cooked. You try leh” Xuerong after biting : “ OMG NO ITS NOT COOKED! YUCKS!”

Activity 3: The songs

It started off with English songs from those which most of us could sing, to those which got comments like “I hate this song!” Then, it was Korean songs from Korean films, well which most of us like I believe. (not me..) Luckily there was “I believe” with a Chinese version, which allowed me to DA ZHAN GE HOU, that quick-witted Gloria readily imitated. Hur hur hur nice one Gloria!

Activity 4: Gift exchange

The best part of it all! Thanks Jenny for thinking about it. Thanks everyone for putting in effort to get the gifts. (Like 19 of us were at Heeren the day before at the same time to get the gifts hahaha) And there was sincere, funny and significant imitating and talking about the person you are giving the gift to. I was rather touched and impressed by how we know the significant points of each other and also the sincerity of expressing the individual. Well it ranged from two-worded kind, like the one for meixuan, and two paragraphs ones like the one from xuerong on the selflessness of Peggy. (wah touched or not! ) To me, the funniest had to be the one on weilin -不会出的! 不会出的!. And HAHAHA if you hadn’t noticed it yesterday, “the most polite girl of the class” did stand up on her own when mentioned. WOOHOO!
At the end of it all, Jenny well, possibly the one whom the barbeque meant most to, made a speech. Well before that, many reached into their bags for tissue paper hahaha. We were all patiently listening to jenny expressing her feelings towards our class, with her tinge of humour in her tears-stimulating words. And welfare committee and some others gave a surprise to our Jenny wa-wa, presenting her with hand-make cake with “farewell jenny” on it. (Wah so touching hor!)

(+) points: Great imitating and depicting of the gift receivers!
(-) points: Security guard, sorry lar, but I think you all came at the wrong time.

Activity 5: Cake eating and Clearing up

That’s where our class spirit and cooperativeness came in again! Knowing that it was getting really late, everybody contributed by either, cleaning up, clearing charcoals, washing skewers, cutting cakes, distributing cakes, and eating the cakes. Clearing up didn’t seem an easy task at first, but really, I think, with all the help, it didn’t seem as difficult after all! I think we helped Jenny a great deal by moving her things up to her apartment. (What comes after that is for herself to worry :P) Although, it was a pity we couldn’t have the pies and “champagne” as it was getting late, its ok, we still have time..

(+) point: Oh please, with 406, how difficult can clearing up get.
(-) point: no time for champagne!!

What great memories.. .. .. Yesterday, a few of us already thanked those who should be thanked, so I really just want to sincerely thank ALL OF YOU, for just being there. Thank you! Hope you all had a nice bath at home, as your hair was definitely blacker than it should be, and that you breathe in more clean air from now to cleanse your lungs.. I do hope I did this entry well, please add in more worth to remember points if u have to. Lastly, do remember April 6th… Till then….let the memories live!

hello 406(:
sorry i changed the skin without everyone's permission! It's just that I've wanted to create a class blog skin for VERY long so I couldnt resist creating my own skin for this blog when jiebin said I could :P
Hmm this blog doesn't exactly represent "406" or have our class pic staring at your face, that's because I created this skin for blogskins, so if you run a search on blogskins for "406class blog", you'll find it there, and you can see the ratings and comments of others(:
Not sure if this is a idea, though, but if anyone has any objections, I can take it off blogskins.
Anyway, if you violently object to this skin, you can voice out your opinions on the tagboard, which is functioning well(:
I've saved the html coding of the previous skin, so I can easily change back to that if majority wants to.
And I'll be uploading new class pics into the "Photos" section every now and then, so check back often to see new and exciting pics of you :D

Pls spread the url of our class blog to other four sixers who might not know of this! Thanks ^-^
